Job summary

NexGen Data Systems in San Diego is seeking a Senior Test Director to direct testing of Navy network equipment and integrated systems to verify they meet specifications and are ready for operation. You will develop verification approaches, coordinate witnessed testing, oversee checkout and burn-in, and ensure failures are addressed through documented corrective actions and retesting.

Requirements include a DoD Secret clearance, DoD 8570/8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications, a Master’s degree

• DoD 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications required.
• Master’s level degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and procedures covering specification conformance, workmanship, environmental factors, reliability, connectivity and supportability.
• Direct the required laboratory acceptance, baseline, component, bypass, data exchange, integration and interoperability verification stages.
• Coordinate test readiness, Government witness participation and the calibration of test equipment before execution.
• Evaluate failures, determine appropriate corrective and retest actions, and maintain traceable test results and dispositions.
• Oversee Pre-Installation and Test Check-Out, equipment racking and burn-in activities before shipment or field deployment.
• Deliver completed verification packages and report unresolved technical issues affecting operational readiness.

NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Senior Test Director to direct testing that establishes whether Navy network equipment and integrated systems meet their specifications and are ready for operation. The Senior Test Director develops verification approaches, coordinates witnessed testing and evaluates results across laboratory and installation activities. This position also oversees equipment checkout and burn-in before deployment and ensures failures are addressed through documented corrective action and retesting.

Requirements

Desired/Required Skills:

• Active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance required.
• DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications required.
• Education: Master’s level degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience: 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• Experience directing System Operation and Verification Testing, developing test procedures, managing calibrated test equipment and evaluating predeployment checkout results.
• Maintain a Secret security clearance for onsite work at Government facilities.
• A favorable Tier 5 (T5) background investigation or equivalent is required for privileged access to Government information systems.
• Maintain applicable vendor certifications for the role in addition to applicable Information Assurance Technical (IAT) security certifications and cyberspace workforce training and qualifications for covered network duties.
