Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a fully onsite 6+ month contract in Irving, TX. The role requires deep QA automation expertise and hands-on experience with modern frameworks and cloud services.

The successful candidate will design and implement automation frameworks from scratch, integrate tests into CI/CD, and work closely with SCRUM teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in QA automation required.
• 6+ years in QA automation with framework development from scratch.
• Proficient in JavaScript, Java, or C#.
• 1+ year experience with MongoDB, Node.js, and AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, or JMeter.
• Experience defining test cases, risk analysis, and user story contribution.
• Knowledge of pipelines, Jenkins, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Identify business risks and contribute to user story definition.
• Define, develop, and review test cases, test plans, and test strategy.
• Design and build automation frameworks from scratch and improve coverage.
• Perform practical web testing across the SDLC.
• Use Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, and JMeter for automation.
• Apply TDD/BDD with Gherkin to improve testability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in QA automation.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in QA automation, including experience writing automation frameworks from scratch.
• In-depth knowledge of one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or C#.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with MongoDB, Node.js, and AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience with one or more test tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, or JMeter.
• Experience defining and reviewing test cases and test plans, with the ability to identify business risks and contribute to user story definition.
• Knowledge or experience with pipelines, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or a similar area of study.
• Practical experience with web testing or web development.
• Experience with TDD, BDD, and Gherkin.
• Experience working in SCRUM environments.
