CALEX SPORTS INC. is seeking a Tennis Coach to lead after-school programs for elementary students, delivering engaging tennis instruction in a positive learning environment.

You will manage classes, prepare equipment, and maintain open communication with parents and school staff while promoting safe, fun physical activity. This role offers flexible scheduling across multiple Bay Area sites and requires a genuine passion for helping kids grow through sport.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Teaching or playing tennis experience preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Passion for working with children and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation to the East and South Bay and Peninsula.

Responsabilités

• Manage after-school tennis classes for K-5 students.

Your Role:

As a Tennis Coach, you will manage classes and instruct students in grades K-5 in a positive and engaging manner, creating a fun and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Class Management:

• Manage classes of 8-16 students (ages 5-10) for after-school programs.
• Manage smaller groups of up to 8 students (ages 3 and up) for clinics.

Training & Preparation:

• Participate in a two-day training session to get you up to speed with our program.
• Set up and transport tennis equipment to ensure a smooth class experience.

Administrative Tasks:

• Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out procedures.
• Foster positive communication with parents and school staff.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.

Capture the Fun:

• Snap photos of kids in action during sessions to showcase their progress!

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in teaching or playing tennis is preferred, but not required.
• Certification (USPTA/PTR) is preferred but not mandatory.
• A passion for working with children and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula

Locations & Schedule:

• Classes run for 1 - 1.5 hours, held at various elementary schools and recreation centers across the Bay Area.
• Work two or more days per week with a maximum of 2-5 hours weekly.
• Work schedules we offer:
  - Monday to Friday, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  - Saturdays and Sundays available, with schedules varying across different locations
