Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks experienced Senior Superintendents to lead day-to-day field operations on large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects. You will develop project plans, monitor performance, and mentor staff to meet client needs and safety standards.

This site-based role requires overseeing multiple crews, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with codes while traveling to various offices and project sites across states in North America.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects

• Participates in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team

• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
• Effective Communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Working Conditions

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
• This is a site-based position that will require travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites through multiple states
