Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services, a leader in North American telecom construction, is seeking experienced Senior Superintendents to oversee field operations on large-scale fiber installation projects. You will develop project plans, monitor progress, and mentor crews.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years as a telecommunications construction superintendent, strong leadership, and knowledge of underground fiber installation. Willingness to travel across multiple states and ensure safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a telecommunications construction superintendent.
• Experience with underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
• Knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and practices.

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Manage reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Superintendents to join our team for large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitors performance. Essential Responsibilities:

• Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project

• Will set priorities and allocateresources as needed for the entire field team
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents

Qualifications:

• Effective Communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity toanticipateand address issues
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Working Conditions:

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position whichinvolvessitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
• This is a site-based position that will require travel to various Ledcor offices and project sitesthrough multiple states
