We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Superintendents to join the team for large-scale, long-haul fiber installation projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitoring performance. Recognized as experts in their field, they anticipate client needs, provide solutions, and share their expertise by mentoring colleagues.

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations
• Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to overall project timelines
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of projects
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
• Set priorities and allocate resources across the field team
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees and subcontractors
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address issues
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current practices
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Working Conditions

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
• This is a site-based position requiring travel to various offices and project locations as needed
