Job summary

Concord Academy, a distinguished boarding and day school in Concord, MA, seeks a Director of Technology to lead and integrate the school’s technology strategy. You will coordinate internal staff and external partners to advance infrastructure, data, and support across the campus, ensuring services align with academic goals.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with faculty and administrators, and a strategic yet hands-on approach to technology planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five years of experience leading a technology department or complex technology program, preferably in an educational setting.
• Experience supervising and developing technology staff.
• Solid working knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, data, and technology support.
• Demonstrated success in leading major systems implementations and integrations; student information system transition experience would be valuable.
• Experience developing technology plans and managing budgets, vendors, contracts, and renewal cycles.
• Ability to work with academic leaders and faculty to advance teaching and learning through technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Concord Academy’s senior technology leader, aligning technology planning with school priorities.
• Establish clear processes for setting priorities, decisions, and communication of technology work.
• Develop short- and long-term technology plans in collaboration with CFOO and stakeholders.
• Lead systems and data migration efforts with project leaders, departments, and partners.
• Oversee administrative and academic systems, integrations, data access, reporting, and information sharing.
• Direct major technology projects, migrations, and schoolwide implementations.
• Oversee the longstanding outsourced technology partner and ensure cybersecurity and data privacy policies are maintained.
