Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience preferred.
  • Alternative with Associate degree and 9+ years experience accepted.
  • High School Diploma with 11+ years experience accepted.
  • Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques for project/program management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Office, CAD, GIS, analysis software, data acquisition platforms.
  • Knowledge of computer logic and data analytics preferred.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, facilitation, teamwork, organization, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiative teams to document business processes and improve project execution.
  • Lead proposed project execution solutions including software, hardware, and automation.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews and quantify savings, benefits, and process improvements.
  • Drive technology adoption with stakeholders and ensure alignment to client needs.
  • Head technology initiative teams and drive process improvements for efficiency.
  • Oversee tool implementations and deployment on client projects.
  • Review viability of innovative products and pursue new revenue opportunities.
  • Develop client relationships and pursue key opportunities with vendors.
  • Coordinate with internal IT and Strategic Initiatives for cohesive client solutions.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff and ensure QA/QC adherence.

Description

The Senior Technology and Innovation Consultant will lead the development and deployment of advanced processes, tools, and technology to drive the efficient delivery of projects. The Senior Technology and Innovation Consultant will lead project teams, project managers, business line managers, and division management throughout the evaluation of market and business trends, problem identification, solution creation, and implementation phases while adhering to budget constraints, design factors, and client needs.

  • Lead initiative team to document business processes and identify ways to improve execution of projects and services to improve workflow and efficiencies.

  • Lead proposed project execution solutions (including, software, hardware, code writing, automated processes etc.).

  • Quality review proof of concept activities including detailed savings, benefits and automated process improvements.

  • Lead technology solutions to stakeholder successful adoption.

  • Lead the technology initiative teams and improvement processes to ensure optimal utilization.

  • Lead the implementation of processes and technology tools, and deploy new tools to improve efficiency and workflow improvements on client projects.

  • Review and provide feedback to proposed technology implementation and innovative approaches to our services and client deliverables.

  • Present at tradeshows and conferences, emerging trends, markets and technologies. Responsible for identifying and developing, new and existing clients and vendors.

  • Review for viability, technologically innovative products, solutions, and services to create new revenue streams and improve project profit margins.

  • Review proposed business cases for large investments and initiatives to enter into a partnership. Review presentation and launch materials of new ventures through Burns & McDonnell Launch program.

  • Responsible for client development and maintain vendor relationships, to evaluate integration of their solution(s) into business processes. Lead marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.

  • Lead efforts with internal stakeholders, such as IT and Strategic Initiatives, to build wholistic and cohesive solutions for clients.

  • Train and mentor staff.

  • Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence.

  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related degree from an accredited program and 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry required.

  • Or, an Associate Degree and 9 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry required.

  • High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry Required

  • Strong knowledge and proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures for project and program management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation skills with internal and external audiences of various sizes.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CAD platforms, GIS, analysis programs, and data acquisition platforms.

  • Strong knowledge in computer logic and data analytics preferred.

  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability of advanced learning of new concepts and applying knowledge to deliverables.

  • Engineers in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
