- Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets
- Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
- Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities
- Support stores and store associates
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, safety policies, and environmental guidelines
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work frequently at heights
Requirements
- Option 1: 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration
- Option 2: 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and an Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
- Where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman qualification
- 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area, or 2 years’ Walmart store experience
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights
- Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s degree in A/C and refrigeration preferred
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software preferred
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams preferred
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment preferred
- Experience with Glycol and CO2 systems preferred
