Walmart is hiring a Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance to perform preventive maintenance across facilities, ensuring safety, functionality, and appearance. Qualifications

  • Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
  • Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
  • No serious traffic violations, as defined by the FMCSA, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

  • Lead and mentor less-experienced technicians, providing hands‑on training and guidance.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination to support operational efficiency.

  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols.

What you bring:
  • Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines, ensuring compliance in all maintenance activities.
  • Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination to support operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to oversee projects, mentor associates, and deliver hands‑on training.
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities to collaborate with teams and support continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
