Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support NAVAIR by editing and creating IETMs and TMs using PTC Arbortext to MIL-STD-3001. The role is onsite at our Indianapolis, IN facility and involves coordinating content across multiple documents to meet deadlines.

The candidate will author and edit IETMs and TMs from source data, perform quality reviews, and work with SMEs to validate technical content. Prior experience with NAVAIR standards and XML is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with six+ years of related experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software.

Responsibilities

• Author, edit, and develop IETMs and TMs for NAVAIR equipment per MIL-STD-3001.
• Create content from source data such as Logistics Product Data and Engineering Drawings.
• Create and update MIL-STD-3001 XML documentation.
• Coordinate content creation across documents with tight deadlines.
• Perform quality and peer reviews of technical and non-technical documents.
• Create narratives using SME interviews and validate with engineers.
• Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and publication outlines.
