Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Technical Writer III to support development, maintenance, and publication of technical documentation for complex engineering systems. The role requires collaboration with engineers, program teams, and subject matter experts to create clear, accurate documentation for operations, maintenance, testing, and training.

Responsibilities include developing manuals, procedures, test plans, and guides; using engineering drawings, schematics, CAD models, and other sources; hosting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, technical communications, engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional technical writing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of technical writing principles, practices, and standards.
• Experience creating/editing documents with graphics, tables, and embedded content.
• Experience with multidisciplinary engineering and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain manuals, procedures, tests, guides, and training materials.
• Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to gather accurate information.
• Create documentation using drawings, schematics, CAD models, and other materials.
• Host and facilitate documentation review meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain revision control and document templates.
• Ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Prepare and deliver CDLR-related documentation and other reports.
