Job summary

Skydio in San Mateo, CA seeks a Senior Technical Recruiter to own end-to-end hiring for core engineering functions: Software, Hardware, and Hardware Operations. You’ll build pipelines, partner with hiring managers and People Ops, and drive structured interview processes to sustain rapid growth of the world’s first great flying robot company.

Qualifications

• Deep recruiting expertise in engineering functions such as Cloud, Mobile, Infrastructure, Embedded, Wireless, Hardware Engineering or Hardware Operations.
• Proven track record building high-performing engineering teams for growth-stage companies.
• Strong knowledge of the Silicon Valley startup ecosystem and ability to compete for top talent.
• Sourcing niche talent pools for highly specialized roles in competitive markets.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, organizational rigor, and a top-tier candidate experience.
• Ability to influence hiring teams with market intelligence and strategy.
• In-house and agency recruiting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate as the go-to recruiting expert and trusted advisor for hiring leaders and interview teams.
• Relentlessly seek top talent, build pipelines, craft candidate experiences, and secure elite hires.
• Develop understanding of Skydio's competitive advantages to target and close top talent.
• Drive structured interview and decision-making processes with rigorous standards.
• Collaborate with Hiring Managers, People Ops, and Compensation to drive outcomes.
• Identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and mentor junior teammates.
• Contribute as a core member of a lean startup recruiting machine.
