Job summary

ICW Group is hiring a strategic technical recruiter to drive full lifecycle recruiting across the enterprise, attracting high‑quality technical talent and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. You will partner with HRBPs and hiring managers to forecast needs, source candidates, pre‑screen, interview, negotiate offers, and smooth onboarding.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of this job is to drive strategic technical recruiting responsibilities and oversee the complete lifecycle recruitment process, including candidate sourcing and assessment, onboarding and maintaining good hiring practices. This position exists to attract and place high-quality technical talent across the enterprise that performs well, while providing exceptional candidate experiences to promote the brand and generate engagement to support Human Resources (HR) initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in the planning and execution of technical Talent Attraction strategies.
• Coordinates the placement of ads utilizing online job boards, internal job postings, and school postings.
• Recommends and participates in proactive recruitment strategies, such as college relations, job fairs, and military recruiting as warranted.
• Creates and maintains contacts within the technology and insurance industries.
• Places and maintains internal and external job postings for all positions including schools, professional organizations, and other sources in alignment with Recruiting Plan.
• Develops comprehensive recruiting and sourcing plans for open technical and other assigned positions, working closely with HR Business Partners as needed.
• Develops a network of technology industry, academic, and community contacts to create a pipeline of candidates for future openings.
• Attends events representing ICW Group and promotes the benefits of working at the Company, with particular emphasis on technology career opportunities.
• Manages the candidate selection and onboarding process.
• Sources qualified candidates for assigned technical and other positions using the most effective means including internal and external job boards such as LinkedIn, Indeed, GitHub, Stack Overflow, technical communities, professional associations, schools, or other target sources to minimize the use of agencies and provide high caliber candidates.
• Pre-screens and recommends candidates, assessing relevant technical experience and competencies to hiring managers.
• Partners with Talent Coordinator to ensure timely scheduling of candidate interviews.
• Advises hiring managers on technical talent market conditions, candidate pipeline, compensation trends, and offer recommendations.
• Works closely with Hiring Managers and HRBPs to determine technical staffing needs, role requirements, and timeliness of the recruitment process.
• Closes candidates and negotiates salary and hiring terms for competitive technical talent.
• Prepares offer letter and secures acceptance.
• Creates and documents technical talent leads within a centralized tracking system.
• Follows-up with leads in an effort to convert into active candidates.
• Engages in Team Member Process Management and Talent Acquisition programs.
• Promotes Employee Referral Program by developing campaigns and promotions to expand the use of employee referrals as a primary source of candidates, including hard-to-find technical talent.
• Identifies key academic institutions and programs to target for technology-focused college recruiting.
• Establishes relationships with college leaders, faculty, and technology program contacts and seeks opportunities for involvement in student organizations.
• Engages ICW Group Team Members to promote insurance technology careers and Company opportunities.
• Works with Sr HR Administrator for the Visa process, for new employees.
• Partner with talent coordinator on all aspects of temporary employee placement.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities but may mentor and/or train junior team members on Company and Recruiting procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required with a major or emphasis in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum 5 years of related talent acquisition/recruiting experience required, including demonstrated experience recruiting for technical roles.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Working knowledge of professional HR recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment, with corporate and technical recruiting experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills; demonstrated good judgment; solid project management skills; competent in the use of technology and Microsoft Office applications.
• A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required.
• Strong sourcing experience using Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, technical communities, or other job boards, Boolean searches, networking groups, etc.
• Ability to understand technical job requirements and evaluate candidate experience across software engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, cloud, and related disciplines.
• Exposure and desire to engage in social networking strategies to engage potential talent.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiating, multi-tasking, organization, and execution; current knowledge base of recruiting best practices and California, federal, and local labor laws relative to staffing; sophisticated interpersonal skills that project a sense of optimism, "can-do" spirit, and fun with the ability to adapt style depending on situation.

Office environment – no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands and employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is based on-site, on a hybrid schedule, at our San Diego headquarters. This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment. The current range for this position is $78,678.61 - $132,686.15 This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
