Job summary

Flatiron is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead a complex construction project from inception to closeout. You will oversee budget, schedules, staffing, and procurement while coordinating with owners, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver on contract requirements.

Strong leadership and risk management skills are essential. The role requires extensive experience in bid-build or design-build delivery, with a track record of managing multi-department teams and maintaining

Qualifications

• 15+ years in construction project management.
• 10+ years managing personnel.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field a plus.
• Proven experience in bid-build, design-build and alternative delivery projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of the project, including construction, budget and cash management, aligning with contract and owner requirements.
• Develops and manages the project schedule, pay estimates, staffing, and equipment resources for timely completion.
• Reviews contracts for completeness and resolves specification, contract conflicts, and scheduling issues with the owner.
• Leads engineering and scheduling teams to identify and negotiate change orders with support from Area Manager.
• Prepares and presents monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to leadership.
• Maintains relationships with supporting departments and the project owner to support the work plan and payment schedule.
• Serves as the main point of contact for third-party stakeholders including landowners, local businesses, and government agencies.
• Reviews and approves internal and external media releases related to the project.
• Ensures project safety by weekly checks and safety meetings, supporting safety programs.
• Approves staffing and equipment needs to ensure efficient production.
• Participates in dispute resolution with internal legal counsel.
• Provides input on procurement methods and contracts for efficient production.
• Leads project closeout procedures, finalizes paperwork, and conducts project debriefs.
