Job summary

Career Developers Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Financial Services Platform Domain on a 6-month assignment in Warren, NJ. This role requires coordinating with engineering, product, architecture, QA, and executives to drive complex software delivery with transparency and discipline.

You will lead delivery reporting, manage dependencies, define initiatives before development, and track key engineering metrics to improve release readiness and cadence.

Qualifications

Significant experience leading technical software delivery programs within complex engineering organizations.
Strong technical foundation in software delivery or related discipline.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable Agile planning tools.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain accurate delivery reporting covering scope, risks, dependencies, readiness, and overall program health.
Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to ensure initiatives are well-defined before development begins.
Work with architects, engineers, QA, and technical leaders to understand architecture, testing strategies, debt, and release readiness.
Communicate program status clearly to technical teams and executive leadership.
Identify delivery risks early and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
Improve software delivery by reducing work in progress and breaking large initiatives into increments.
Track and analyze engineering performance metrics (Lead Time, Cycle Time, MTTR, Change Failure Rate).
Coordinate dependencies across teams and support scalable delivery governance.
Coach delivery teams on best practices to improve predictability, quality, and execution.
Foster collaboration across Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Operations, and leadership.
