Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to launch. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

As a senior contributor, you’ll translate analyses for executives and discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers. Individual pay is determined by factors including skills, experience, and education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with data center controls.
  • Experience in technical and product program management.

Responsibilities

  • Execute scope for cross-functional product development of new products and programs to address undefined challenges with limited guidance.
  • Lead products through the product life-cycle process (e.g., concept, development, launch) driving scope, schedule, cost, and resource management, using existing processes.
  • Work with upstream and downstream partner teams across data centers, supply chain, construction and execution teams, hardware, and software operations to establish a streamlined supply chain and reliable deployments that meet cost.
  • Manage the controls roadmap from initial concept and hardware selection through to end-of-life/obsolescence planning.
  • Evaluate and hold vendors accountable for firmware quality, hardware reliability, and compliance with technical specifications.
