Job description

Agility's commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers—tackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.

About the Role

At Agility Robotics, we are building a future where robots work alongside people to make life better. To achieve that, we are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, ambiguous programs at the intersection of engineering, operations, and supply chain — taking them from an early stage to a running operation. You will partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and our external manufacturing and supplier partners to build the programs and processes that let us scale production. This role sits within the Operations Program Management organization, reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations Program Management & Insights, and works across Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Hardware Engineering, and Product. Agility's TPMs are the connective tissue between engineering intent and operational reality.

About the Work
  • Own Programs End to End: Take accountability for large, complex programs spanning engineering, operations, supply chain, and external partners — from scope definition through launch and handoff.
  • Build the Playbook: Take on programs in areas where process is still forming. Define the plan, milestones, and governance cadence, then build the reusable process so the next program runs faster than the first.
  • Connect Development to Production: Work alongside hardware and NPI teams to translate design maturity and build plans into sourcing, capacity, and readiness commitments — making sure what engineering is building can be sourced and produced on the schedule the business is counting on.
  • Manage External Partners: Serve as the program-level interface to our manufacturing partners and key suppliers — driving statements of work, build schedules, capacity and tooling readiness, quality and yield expectations, and escalations, in close partnership with Supply Chain and Procurement.
  • Run Rigorous Risk and Change Control: Own the integrated schedule, critical path, and dependency map. Make informed scope, cost, and schedule tradeoffs, and drive formal change control so material decisions stay traceable.
  • Provide Transparent Clarity: Act as the single source of truth for your programs, delivering concise updates on health, timeline, and cost exposure to leadership. Shape the priorities of cross-functional partners to keep your dependencies met, without relying on formal authority.
  • Travel: Approximately 50% travel to Agility facilities, manufacturing and supplier sites, and customer locations, including occasional international travel.
About You
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 6+ years in technical program management, manufacturing program management, or supply chain program management for complex electromechanical hardware, including programs defined under significant ambiguity.
  • Hardware Development Fluency: A working understanding of the hardware development cycle (EVT/DVT/PVT) and what each phase demands of supply chain and manufacturing — enough to plan around it, pressure-test partner commitments, and know when a schedule is not real.
  • External Manufacturing Experience: Direct experience running programs with external manufacturing partners, from either side of the relationship — driving builds and transfers at a partner site on behalf of an OEM, or managing a major OEM account from within a manufacturing organization.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams spanning engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and external partners, and to communicate at every level from the build floor to the executive staff meeting.
  • Operational Tool Mastery: Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools to architect workflows, track cross-team dependencies, and manage program roadmaps.
Bonus Points
  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree or MBA in a relevant field.
  • Scaling Through Partners: Experience expanding manufacturing capacity with external partners, including partner evaluation, transfer planning, and the governance that keeps a partnership on schedule.
  • High-Volume Hardware Background: Program experience in consumer electronics, connected devices, appliances, or medical devices.
  • Supply Chain and Quality Literacy: Working knowledge of cost models, tooling and NRE, capacity planning, and the quality gates a part clears before volume production (PPAP, FAI, CAPA).
  • Robotics or Complex Mechatronics: Exposure to robotics, autonomous systems, or other complex hardware-software products.
Location
  • This is a hybrid position based out of our Fremont, CA office, with an expectation of three days per week onsite.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but not limited to: job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Agility Robotics is a multi‑state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions who work in other locations. These ranges may be modified in the future.
