With facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world, Sanmina enables high-velocity product introduction and global scale for the cloud and AI ecosystem.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Senior Technical Program Manager to lead and execute strategic manufacturing programs focused on Precision Metal Fabrication & Assembly. This role is a critical link between our design, operations, and supply chain teams, ensuring the seamless and successful launch and ramp-up of new products and customer projects across our global footprint. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the program lifecycle, from early engagement with NPI (New Product Introduction) through to mass production stability.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution
  • End-to-End Management: Own and drive complex, multi-site programs focused on the manufacture of precision metal enclosures, tanks, busbars and other complex mechanical components.
  • Technical Oversight: Possess a deep understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to this domain, including:
  • Metal Fabrication: Laser cutting, turret punching, CNC bending, welding, and finishing (powder coat, plating).
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify technical, schedule, and budget risks within the program, developing and executing mitigation plans in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Strategic Planning & Financial Management
  • Budget & Schedule: Develop, track, and manage comprehensive program schedules (WBS) and multi-million-dollar budgets to ensure on-time delivery and financial targets are met.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize resource deployment across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to meet program milestones effectively.
  • Reporting: Provide executive-level program status reports, highlighting key risks, financial performance, and critical path items to the Senior Vice President and other executive stakeholders.
Systems & Process Excellence (Oracle & Kinaxis)
  • ERP/MRP Integration: Leverage expert-level knowledge of Oracle ERP (or a similar Tier 1 system) to manage program costs, track inventory, streamline BOM (Bill of Materials) structure, and ensure data integrity throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Utilize advanced planning tools, specifically Kinaxis Rapid Response, to drive S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) alignment, optimize demand/supply balancing, manage constraints, and ensure materials are available to support global production ramps.
  • Process Improvement: Champion the use of data-driven methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) to continuously improve program execution, quality metrics, and operational efficiency within the fabrication and assembly lines.
Global Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary interface between Design Engineering, Global Sourcing/Supply Chain, Manufacturing Sites (domestic and international), and the Customer/Business Development teams.
  • Supplier Engagement: Partner with strategic metal fabrication and component suppliers to ensure technical requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules are strictly adhered to.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred), Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field. A PMP certification is a strong asset.
Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Program Management, Project Management, or Engineering Management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of direct experience managing programs involving Precision Metal Fabrication.
  • Proven experience working for a Fortune 500 or large, global-scale manufacturing company.
  • Technical Acumen:
  • Mandatory hands-on experience utilizing Oracle ERP (or SAP) and Kinaxis Rapid Response for large-scale, global manufacturing/supply chain programs.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, including ISO standards and industry best practices.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders globally.
