Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced technical product engineer to lead end-to-end product development. The role requires collaboration with product, software, hardware, and QA teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

You will drive architecture, feasibility studies, prototyping, and performance optimization while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring quality and security across releases.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical product development from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, QA and stakeholders to deliver products.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and designs.

• Identify and resolve complex technical issues through debugging and RCA.

• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, hardware engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, system designs, and implementation plans.
• Drive product architecture, technical feasibility assessments, prototyping, and performance optimization.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues through debugging, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ensure product quality, reliability, scalability, security, and compliance with applicable industry standards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, product specifications, test plans, and engineering reports.
• Monitor product performance, analyze technical data, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
• Manage technical risks, project timelines, and engineering deliverables while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and promote engineering best practices.
• Support cross-functional teams throughout product launches, production releases, and post-launch troubleshooting.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve product performance and development processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in technical product engineering, product development, system engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, system design, technical requirements, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering tools, programming languages, development frameworks, or testing methodologies based on the product domain.
• Experience in translating business and customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within defined timelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, quality management processes, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and drive technical initiatives from concept to completion.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical teams is an advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications and experience with industry standards are desirable.
