About CPT

The Client Pricing & Returns Tool (CPT) is a strategic commercial banking platform that supports pricing, profitability analysis, and deal approval workflows across KeyBank's Commercial & Institutional Banks. The platform helps relationship managers, deal teams, and business leaders make informed lending decisions by providing profitability forecasting, pricing insights, and decision-support capabilities. As CPT continues to evolve, the product is expanding beyond a transaction-focused tool toward a broader pricing intelligence platform that connects people, processes, data, and analytics across the commercial lending lifecycle. The role may focus on other systems and tools as needed.

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Product Management person to support the Client Pricing & Returns Tool (CPT), a strategic commercial banking platform used to drive pricing, profitability analysis, and deal approval workflows across the lending infrastructure.

This is a hands-on product role for someone who can combine product management, business analysis, agile delivery, and technical acumen to help deliver high-impact capabilities for bankers, underwriters, treasury partners, and sales leaders.

The Technical Product Management person will work closely with product, engineering, architecture, design, data, analytics, and business teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements, maintain a healthy backlog, support agile delivery, and ensure new capabilities are delivered with quality and business value.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically curious, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and able to operate effectively across both business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Requirements Management
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, identify opportunities, and define solutions.
  • Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Break complex initiatives into manageable, deliverable increments.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with product goals and delivery capacity.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and implementation considerations early in the development process.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and development-ready.
Agile Delivery & Execution
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with engineering teams to evaluate feasibility, estimate work, and manage delivery plans.
  • Track progress, elevate risks, and help remove blockers.
  • Coordinate delivery activities across business and technology teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement through process optimization and retrospective follow-through.
  • Support release planning, implementation activities, and post-release validation.
Technical Analysis & Problem Solving
  • Develop a strong understanding of CPT architecture, integrations, data flows, and commercial lending business processes.
  • Work with APIs, data, logs, system outputs, reporting tools, and monitoring dashboards to investigate issues and validate requirements.
  • Analyze product usage, operational trends, and business performance metrics to inform product decisions and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to evaluate technical solutions and trade-offs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues and documenting findings.
  • Understand how system, data, pricing, and workflow changes impact users and business outcomes.
Quality & Testing
  • Partner with technology and business teams to define testing strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Support functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Participate in defect triage and prioritization.
  • Help ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality expectations.
Documentation & Communication
  • Maintain high-quality documentation in Jira, Confluence, and related tools.
  • Document requirements, decisions, process flows, and system impacts.
  • Provide clear communication regarding priorities, progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Contribute to release communications, training materials, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Governance & Operational Excellence
  • Support compliance with enterprise risk, security, and governance requirements.
  • Promote strong documentation, transparency, and accountability across the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes, standards, and operating practices.
