Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Product Management to drive enterprise-scale, data-driven platforms within the US healthcare payer domain. You will lead cross-functional teams and translate complex problems into scalable product solutions, delivering measurable outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Data Science and Engineering to deploy AI/GenAI capabilities, while ensuring compliant, explainable implementations across large ecosystems. Minneapolis onsite position.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product management or technical product leadership roles.
• 5+ years managing enterprise-scale, complex product ecosystems.
• 2+ years supporting payer or payment integrity.
• Experience with Data Science, Software applications, and / or AI projects.
• Experience in Agile methodologies, and modern product practices.
• Experience translating business needs into product requirements, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience supporting distributed systems, data platforms, and modern application architectures.
• Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Translate business objectives into product initiatives with clear outcomes, KPIs, and success metrics.
• Identify opportunities through stakeholder engagement, market insights, and data-driven analysis.
• Lead end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery, requirements, prioritization, development, launch, and continuous improvement.
• Drive execution across large-scale, complex product ecosystems involving multiple teams and platforms.
• Balance trade-offs across business value, technical feasibility, and operational constraints.
• Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to build and scale AI/ML or GenAI-powered capabilities.
• Translate analytical models into usable product features and workflows that deliver business value.
• Ensure responsible, explainable, and scalable implementation of AI-driven solutions.
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks.
• Evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation.
• Collaborate across business, operations, engineering, data science, compliance, and design teams.
• Influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional teams on product priorities and outcomes.
• Act as a thought leader and product evangelist across the organization.
• Incorporate domain expertise in US Healthcare Payer systems, especially claims and Payment Integrity workflows.
• Drive product innovation that improves cost efficiency, claim accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts.
