As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer for Distributed Networking, Content Delivery, and AI, you will be the technical proof engine behind Akamai's delivery and performance story. You will build, benchmark, and demonstrate on the platform itself, then turn what you learn into technical content that earns the trust of engineers, architects, and technical decision makers. AI is changing what needs to be delivered across the internet. Customers are already using Akamai to stream AI responses, secure interactions, control access, and route and optimize AI traffic. As AI applications and agents become more distributed and interactive, new requirements are emerging around performance, security, routing, access, and cost. You will help demonstrate the role Akamai's distributed platform can play in solving those challenges.

Implementing Akamai delivery and performance products hands-on, building and maintaining live configurations and demo environments that show real capabilities on real traffic, including emerging AI application patterns
Designing and running reproducible benchmarking with documented, defensible methodology to substantiate Akamai's performance advantages with evidence, including evaluating latency, thorughput, routing, and cost considerations for AI traffic
Building reference architectures and demos for modern applications and AI workloads, including AI inference APIs, streaming responses, agent interactions, and globally distributed applications
Owning the technical answer to what makes Akamai's distributed network and content delivery platform genuinely differentiated, and how those capabilities apply as AI changes internet traffic and application architectures
Working directly with engineering to build deep knowledge of network optimization, carrier and telco peering, route optimization, post quantum cryptography, developer experience, performance, and the networking patterns emerging and around AI inference and agents
Exploring how AI traffic behaves across distributed infrastructure and translating those findings into practical guidance for customers, developers, architects, and Akamai field teams
