Job description

Senior Technical Infrastructure. Program Manager, Infrastructure Capacity Management - CDR Execution, Infrastructure Capacity Management - CDR Execution

Job ID: 10489425 | Amazon Data Services, Inc.

You will own the end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure at scale — from customer demand signal through manufacturing, shipping, and site landing — ensuring the world's largest cloud network gets built on time. This is a high-visibility, high-autonomy role where you directly influence whether critical network capacity arrives when customers need it.

Key Job Responsibilities
Why this role?

You own outcomes, not tasks. CDR operates at the intersection of supply chain, network engineering, and program execution — you'll drive delivery across all of them.

You’ll lead through ambiguity. When demand shifts, vendors miss, or builds slip, you’re the one who finds the path forward.

What you’ll do:

Drive delivery performance across network rack demand streams (Bricks, Spines, Loose Gear, Scaling, New DC) from order through site installation

Own stakeholder communication for delivery status, risks, and blockers — proactively surfacing issues before they become escalations.

Manage cross-functional dependencies across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, construction, and network deployment teams.

Build and maintain mechanisms (dashboards, WBRs, escalation paths, SOPs) that make delivery health visible and actionable.

Identify systemic bottlenecks and drive structural improvements.

Partner with automation and data engineering teams to scale delivery insights through tooling

What you’ll bring:
  • Track record of program-managing complex, multi-stakeholder hardware or infrastructure delivery at scale.
  • Ability to synthesize across data sources and present the "so what" — not just the status.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with incomplete information and competing priorities.
  • Strong written communication: you produce artifacts that drive decisions without requiring follow-up questions.
  • Bias toward mechanisms over heroics — you build systems that make the next delivery easier, not just this one.
A day in the life

Your morning starts with a miss that threatens a site deadline — you assess impact and draft the recovery path before your first meeting. Mid-day, you’re connecting supply chain signals across procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to catch cascading risks early. You prep a delivery narrative for leadership where the goal is zero follow-up questions. You close the day unblocking your team and documenting the pattern so it doesn’t take heroics next time.

You're executing today's deliveries while building the mechanisms that make tomorrow's easier.

About the team

The CDR Networking team ensures on-time delivery of critical networking hardware — racks, optics, and loose gear — that connects every AWS service to the backbone. We operate at the intersection of supply chain, manufacturing, and network engineering, owning delivery end-to-end from customer order through site landing. Our culture is built on transparency, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. This is not an easy job. Our customers are demanding. The timelines are short. The constraints are real. The means we challenge the status quo, proceduralize what's repeatable, automate what's possible, and focus our people on the problems that actually require their expertise. Our mission: rack delivery never impacts a customer commitment date.

Basic Qualifications
  • - 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
  • - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • - Experience working with large, complex data sets
  • - Experience communicating results to stakeholders
  • - Experience in Supply Chain Management
  • - 4+ years of in program management, workforce strategy development, or metrics-driven decision making experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology field
  • - Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
  • - Knowledge of process improvement and quality measures
  • - Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
  • - Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making
