Job summary

Google seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with Technical Infrastructure Finance, leading FP&A activities across budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for semiconductor hardware programs. You will influence strategic decisions and ensure robust financial controls with strong modeling and SQL-based analytics.

In this role, you will collaborate with GS3O leadership, manage cross-functional planning, and drive efficiency in OpEx/CapEx while delivering executive-ready performance

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of FP&A, consulting, or related function.
  • Experience with full-cycle FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling.
  • Programming experience, especially SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Support GS3O in annual planning with subject matter expertise.
  • Partner with GCM and Supply Chain Risk on supplier selections to enable hardware roadmap and cost optimization.
  • Lead financial reviews with executives and drive CapEx forecasting and spend approvals.
  • Create and track KPI and build analytical tools to automate reporting.
  • Manage FP&A budget for custom silicon CapEx savings and monitor variances.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle financial planning and analysis functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience with programming (e.g., SQL).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Extensive experience at a strategy or boutique consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of supply chain (e.g., semiconductor or hardware).
  • Proficient understanding around technical server components/assembly.
  • Ability to communicate complicated analysis, logic, and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent business partnering, influencing and presentation skills.
  • Proven success in planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level, while being organized, detail-oriented, and strategically focused, with the ability to prioritize and pivot in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Global Strategic Sourcing and Silicon Operations (GS3O) team in Technical Infrastructure in the annual planning process through subject matter expertise and targeted decision support.
  • Partner with the Global Commodity Management (GCM) and Supply Chain Risk teams on strategic supplier/vendor selections to enable the end-to-end hardware component roadmap and optimize CapEx/OpEx cost structures.
  • Lead financial reviews with executive leadership in GS3O and Technical Infrastructure Finance, and lead core financial processes such as Long-Range Plan (LRP) CapEx forecasting and spend approvals.
  • Create and track key performance metrics and goals to measure financial and operational performance; design and build rigorous analytical tools to streamline and automate reporting.
  • Manage and track major elements of the financial planning and analysis budget, supporting custom silicon CapEx savings goals and monitoring variances.
