Amentum is seeking a Sr-Level Technical Editor to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Defense Intelligence Enterprise. You’ll be the final quality gate, sharpening logic, enforcing agency style, and collaborating with analysts to craft the strongest possible case on the page.

In this senior role, you’ll lead and mentor the team, guide editorial standards, and handle high-visibility, sensitive products. This is contingent on the award, clearance verification, and funding.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 12+ years of editing experience, with recent work in the last 2 years.
• Master’s degree desired in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior editorial authority for the supported production element, setting the quality bar for the editing team.
• Handle high-visibility products with emphasis on classification precision and narrative clarity.
• Mentor mid-level editors and develop style resources, checklists, and training.
• Advise analytic leadership on production standards and recurring quality issues.
• Negotiate revisions with senior authors while preserving analytic voice and meeting tradecraft standards.
