G-III Apparel Group in New York City is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to translate design vision into manufacturable garments for Levi’s Women’s and Champion Men’s & Women’s Outerwear. You will lead fit sessions and coordinate details with vendors and global offices.

With 7+ years in apparel technical design, you will create specs, support construction, organize tech packs, and ensure accurate measurements.

Competenze

• 7+ years of apparel Technical Design experience across men’s and women’s apparel
• Direct experience in technical outerwear preferred
• Functional basic knowledge in technical fit & construction
• Sketch technical in Illustrator

Mansioni

• Measure garments and organize for fittings

• Create initial spec to final full graded spec
• Consult with designer to work on complicated garment construction and establish the fit for each brand

Success Profile:

The Senior Technical Designer is responsible for ensuring that design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that reflects brand’s aesthetics and design integrity. As a member of the Technical Design team, you will conduct fit sessions, communicate fit session to vendors, G-III global offices and work cross-functionally to ensure accuracy of garment measurements, fit, construction details and flow of information while addressing any technical challenges during the development and production process.

Brand/Product Focus: Levi’s Women’s, and Champion Men’s & Women's Outerwear

Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District

Responsibilities:

• Measure garments and organize for fittings
• Coordinate fit schedule and conduct fittings

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of apparel Technical Design experience, across men’s and women’s apparel
• Direct experience in technical outerwear preferred
• BA/BS Degree required or AA Fashion Degree
• Functional basic knowledge in technical fit & construction
• Sketch technical in Illustrator
• Ability to work in team environment
• Super Detailed and Organized
• Computer literate – Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop. PDM and PLM knowledge is a plus

The pay range for this position is: $100,000 per year - $115,000 per year
