Job summary

Epic Games in the US is seeking a Senior Tech Artist to join Fortnite Events. You will blend look development, lighting, and art pipelines to deliver high-fidelity visuals across multiple platforms.

You will collaborate with engineers and artists, own features from inception to ship, and push Unreal Engine capabilities. A strong reel and deep UE5 art knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Strong reel/portfolio showing executed game tech art.
• Deep knowledge of PBR principles and material editors.
• Ability to establish workflows and tools for other artists.
• Experience using texturing packagers such as Substance Designer.
• High proficiency in setting up world environmental lighting.
• Desire and knowledge to push Unreal Engine further.
• Ability to own features from inception to ship.
• Familiarity with the Unreal 5 Engine art pipeline.
• Experience working on multiple platforms.
• Scripting experience with Blueprint or other.

What You'll Do

Epic is looking for a Senior Tech Artist to join our team working on Fortnite Events. A successful candidate should have a deep knowledge in look development, lighting and complex game art. A successful candidate should have a broad knowledge of art creation for games. You should understand modeling, texturing, and animation fundamentals. You should be able to combine geometry, materials, effects, and UE Blueprints to create complex art. You should be able to work with both internal ICs, leads and directors as well as direct vendors to support the more technical aspects of creating art.

In this role, you will

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA, NYC, & WA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

New York City Base Pay Range

$151,585 — $252,641 USD

California Base Pay Range

$166,744 — $277,906 USD

Washington Base Pay Range

$151,585 — $252,641 USD
