Job summary

Salesforce Professional Services seeks a Senior Technical Architect focused on Agentforce for Life Sciences (AFLS). You will advise large pharma customers, architect AI-first solutions, and lead complex Salesforce initiatives across commercial and clinical ops.

You will partner with delivery teams, align on technology strategies, and drive value with scalable, maintainable architectures for life sciences programs in Chicago and beyond.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years enterprise architecture or consulting experience.
  • 4+ years of experience leading Salesforce Core Projects.
  • Strong application design skills with data, integration, and security architecture.
  • Experience in Life Sciences, Pharma/Biopharma domains.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to defend a point of view.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, able to engage diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to optimize business processes via technology.
  • Experienced in integration concepts, designs, and patterns.

Role Overview

Salesforce Professional Services is looking for a Senior Technical Architect focused on Agentforce for Life Sciences (AFLS). AFLS is one of Salesforce's fastest-growing and most strategic product areas and now adopted by more than 140 industry-leading organizations globally.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to the company's largest, most complex life sciences enterprise customers, helping them architect and deliver agentic, AI‑first solutions across their commercial and clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client
  • Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; serving as an active contributor to the community's overall knowledge base and expertise
  • Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value
  • Work collaboratively and having very strong communications skills, especially in teaching complex concepts, and creative, prescriptive thinking
  • Identify and proactively manage risk areas and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolution
  • Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners
  • Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward
  • Work closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs
  • Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform
Minimum Requirements
  • 8+ years enterprise architecture or consulting experience
  • 4+ years of experience leading Salesforce Core Projects
  • Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry, particularly Pharma/Biopharma. Candidates should have backgrounds in pharmaceutical commercial operations, field force engagement, HCP/HCO relationship management, or regulatory compliance
  • Strong presentation skills, able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience
  • A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles
  • Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
  • Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems
  • Strong experience in Integration concepts, designs, and patterns

Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Multiple Salesforce Architecture certifications, or Salesforce Certified Agentforce Life Sciences Consultant (launched March 2026)
  • Hands‑on experience with Agentforce for Life Sciences (AFLS) or equivalent Life Sciences CRM platforms, including knowledge of HCP/HCO structures, Affiliations, Specialty Pharmacy, Medical Affairs, and compliant engagement workflows
  • Experience supporting or delivering implementations for major pharmaceutical companies, with familiarity with the agentic enterprise model and how AI agents can transform life sciences commercial and clinical operations

The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
