Job summary

CME Group is seeking a senior technical accounting strategist to lead research across routine and complex transactions under U.S. GAAP. You will craft executive-ready position papers and advise business units on accounting implications, aligning initiatives with corporate standards.

In this hybrid Chicago role, you will collaborate with financial reporting, corporate accounting, and leadership to ensure SEC compliance and timely adoption of new standards.

Qualifications

Active CPA license required.
4+ years of progressive technical accounting and SEC reporting experience.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience writing concise technical memorandums and executive summaries.

Responsibilities

Lead technical accounting research across routine and complex transactions under US GAAP.
Formulate executive-ready accounting position papers documenting methodologies and conclusions.
Advise businesses on accounting implications aligning with financial standards.
Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, new products and strategic investments.
