Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Master's degree in Accounting or CPA designation with 5+ years of technical accounting lead experience.
• Minimum 5 years in public accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, or regulatory accounting.
• Minimum 2 years in a Sr. Auditor, Sr. Accountant, or project-lead role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience researching and applying accounting guidance to complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze accounting guidance for new transactions, contracts, and regulatory changes.
• Prepare accounting position papers documenting conclusions and rationale.
• Interpret GAAP, SAP, NAIC guidance and regulatory requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Evaluate revenue recognition, leases, investments, and contingencies.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate accounting policies and control documentation.
• Support implementation of new standards and process changes.
• Assist audits and regulatory examinations with schedules and responses.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, external auditors, and regulators.
• Monitor standards and communicate impacts to management.
• Participate in system implementations and finance transformation initiatives.
• Assist Manager with delegating tasks and overseeing key responsibilities.
• Mentor less experienced staff and promote quality work.
