Job summary

Interactive Resources is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join our Jacksonville, FL team onsite. This 6-12 month contract role focuses on researching accounting guidance, maintaining policies, and supporting complex financial reporting.

You will lead journal entries, GL reconciliations, and close processes, while partnering with finance and business teams to ensure accurate disclosures and compliance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; 7+ preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP and regulatory guidance to complex transactions.
• Prepare and review journal entries, GL reconciliations, and supporting docs.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Review accounting treatments for investments, derivatives, deposits, and other transactions.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Evaluate new accounting standards and impact on financial reporting.
• Assist with disclosures, regulatory reporting, and audit documentation.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to resolve accounting questions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance to accounting professionals.
