Job summary

AspenTech, Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join the Supply Chain team, focusing on advanced production planning, scheduling, blending and optimization.

The ideal candidate has a background in chemical engineering or optimization, with knowledge of linear/nonlinear programming and strong communication skills. You will train customers and provide expert guidance on AspenTech solutions such as Aspen PIMS and Scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience preferred; university experience may count.
• Strong understanding of Chemical Engineering principles for refining, chemical or process industries.
• Ability to travel; travel usually less than 25% and may be international.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance and resolve complex issues for customers using AspenTech software.
• Deliver high‑quality intermediate/advanced level training classes to customers.
• Conduct pre‑sales consultations to identify business problems and articulate AspenTech solutions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to escalate and resolve customer issues.
• Develop and maintain customer‑focused training materials for new releases and applications.
• Build and sustain relationships with customers to understand needs and drive adoption.
