Job summary

DataVisor is seeking an engineering leader to own the technical direction of its real-time fraud detection platform. The role focuses on streaming, storage, and training pipelines, with responsibility for architectural decisions and end-to-end delivery.

You will mentor engineers, lead architectural reviews, and ensure operational excellence across production systems. Strong Java, Python, and SQL skills are required, along with experience in distributed real-time environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience in senior roles.
• Proven ability to lead technical outcomes across a team.
• Deep production experience with Java and proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience designing, building, shipping, and operating distributed real-time systems at scale.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Cassandra, Yugabyte, Flink, Spark, or Kafka.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AI-assisted engineering tools.
• BA/BS in CS or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of the real-time detection platform including streaming, storage, and training pipelines.
• Translate roadmaps into technical plans, milestones, and execution priorities.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early.
• Lead design reviews, make trade-off decisions, document reasoning.
• Stay hands-on with coding, code reviews, and production support.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar for system design and operational excellence.
• Own platform health including alerts and on-call load.
• Collaborate with product, TAM, and customer teams on impactful issues.
• Define use of AI agents and AI-assisted tools in engineering workflows.
• Build and improve AI-assisted tools for engineering and operations.
