Job summary

Hitachi Rail USA, Inc. seeks a Senior TCMS Engineer to join the Train Control & Management System team in Hagerstown, MD.

You will support design, development, integration, testing, and commissioning of TCMS with cross-functional collaboration across engineering and project stakeholders. The role requires 5+ years in TCMS, a relevant master's or engineering degree, strong C/C++/Python skills, and proven problem-solving ability.

Qualifications

5+ years of TCMS engineering experience.
Master's degree or engineering degree in a relevant field.
Experience with programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

Analyze and understand TCMS system requirements, ensuring consistency, completeness, and traceability.
Participate in technical meetings with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to support issue resolution.
Support the design and development activities of TCMS software solutions for railway applications.
Software integration activities and onboard integration testing on railway vehicles.
Commissioning and site acceptance activities, deployment and validation of TCMS functionalities in the field.
Collaborate with the engineering team in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software and system issues.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and engineering deliverables.
