Master Search Solutions is seeking an experienced Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal in Essex County, NJ. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with estate planning, probate matters, and tax filings.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate, 5+ years in T&E or tax, familiarity with probate procedures, and strong MS Office skills. Notary is a plus. OT may be required. Salary $85K–$120K+ with benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
• 5+ years experience as a Trusts & Estates or Tax Paralegal
• Experience supporting T&E matters from inception through closing
• Experience with estate, inheritance, gift, fiduciary income tax, and related tax filings
• Familiarity with probate procedures and surrogate court filings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Notary Public designation, or willingness to obtain one, preferred
• Familiarity with estate tax preparation software and accounting systems is a plus
• Willingness to work overtime, including occasional evenings and weekends, as needed

Aufgaben

• Assist attorneys with estate, trust, tax, and business succession planning.
• Prepare probate, surrogate court, fiduciary, and tax-related filings.
• Draft estate and trust administration documents.
• Review/organize financial records for the preparation of estate, gift, inheritance, fiduciary, and income tax returns.
• Coordinate asset valuations, maintain estate and trust inventories, prepare accountings and supporting schedules.
• Obtain tax ID numbers, prepare related IRS filings, and support tax controversy, audit, and governmental agency matters.
• Assist with the preparation/organization of federal estate tax returns (Form 706), gift tax returns (Form 709), fiduciary income tax returns, and supporting schedules and documentation.
