Job summary

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of clients and teams. This role oversees complex Business Personal Property assessment reviews and appeals, ensures deliverable quality, and drives growth.

You will lead major client engagements, review analyses, develop proposals, and coach staff to meet deadlines. Travel 15-25% and a strong client-service mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for major clients and complex engagements; represent clients before taxing authorities during appeals and hearings.
• Review and approve analyses and client deliverables; enforce quality-control standards and best practices.
• Drive business development: identify and scope opportunities, develop proposals, and communicate DMA’s full suite of services.
• Manage key client accounts: strengthen relationships, expand services, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
• Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to motivate team members; support performance management and career development.
• Participate in talent acquisition and onboarding to build a high-performing team.
• Oversee accurate, timely maintenance of cases, assessments, and jurisdictional information in DMA’s review management system.
• Supervise production, billing, invoicing, and engagement profitability.
• Track and ensure compliance with all jurisdictional deadlines for filings, audits, appeals, protests, and tax-payment schedules.
• Monitor industry activity, legislation, and court decisions; brief clients and internal leadership on relevant developments.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision while fostering strong team collaboration.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
