Davis Advisory Group in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Senior Tax Preparer to manage complex tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and trusts. You will collaborate with Wealth Advisors to optimize tax efficiency in a year-round role, not just peak season.

Required 4–6 years of tax prep experience, AFSP and PTIN, and proficiency with Drake/UltraTax/ProConnect/Lacerte and QuickBooks. Competitive pay, with a substantial bonus structure, and in-person work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-6 years of dedicated tax preparation experience.
• Completion of AFSP and IRS PTIN.
• Active IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA license preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with tax software and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state returns for individuals, small businesses, and trusts/estates.
• Collaborate with wealth advisors to project tax liabilities and strategic planning.
• Serve as the primary contact for client tax inquiries and guidance.
• Audit and compliance reviews to identify risk and ensure tax law compliance.
• Assist clients with IRS/state correspondence and resolution tasks.
