Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Tax Preparer/Reviewer for the upcoming tax season in New Jersey. The role focuses on reviewing 1040 returns for accuracy and communicating adjustments to clients and team members.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of individual tax experience, strong knowledge of W-2s, 1099s, deductions, credits, and be proficient with tax software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or Lacerte. BS in Accounting required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience preparing and/or reviewing individual 1040 tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of individual taxation, including W-2s, 1099s, deductions and credits.
• Experience reviewing tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and communicate adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze 1040 returns for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify discrepancies and potential tax issues.
• Communicate with clients regarding documents and follow-up items.
• Assist clients with gathering and organizing required information.
