Job summary

Archer Lewis, LLC is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax practice, oversee complex engagements, and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws. You will mentor staff, drive planning initiatives, and collaborate with leadership on growth and client service.

You will manage federal, state, local, and international tax matters, oversee audits, and provide strategic advice on mergers, restructurings, and transactions. A CPA license and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• CPA license required and active.
• Extensive tax leadership experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and tax provision processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for tax services, engagements, and operations.
• Mentor and develop tax professionals at all levels.
• Review complex federal, state, local, and international returns.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, standards, and firm policies.
• Serve as technical resource on tax matters and regulatory updates.
• Develop sophisticated tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and transactions.
• Manage tax audits, examinations, and controversies.
• Liaise with taxing authorities and resolve audit findings.
• Oversee income tax provision and ASC 740 reporting where applicable.
• Grow client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Drive process improvements and technology adoption in tax.
