The Opportunity

An established regional accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced tax professional to help lead its growing Capital Region office.

This position offers an established client portfolio, an existing local team and the resources of a larger regional organization. The successful candidate will manage important client relationships, oversee tax engagements, develop employees and help shape the office’s continued growth.

Candidates at the Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager level will be considered. The firm is also open to more senior professionals interested in broader office leadership and a potential path to Principal or Partner.

  • Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.

  • Support selected accounting, bookkeeping, review and advisory engagements as appropriate.

  • Build relationships within the Capital Region business community.

  • Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business.

  • Participate in the office’s long-term growth and strategic direction.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license strongly preferred.

  • Progressive public-accounting experience.

  • Strong tax compliance and planning knowledge.

  • Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individual returns.

  • Meaningful influence over the office’s continued development.

  • Potential advancement to Principal or Partner.

  • Relocation assistance may be considered.
