Job summary

The LBMC High Net Worth Tax Manager position offers a path to leadership within a respected public accounting firm in Memphis, TN. You will oversee large private client tax engagements, mentor staff, and advise on complex tax matters for sophisticated clients.

The role may be fully remote with occasional travel to the office and client sites. Candidates should hold a CPA, a Bachelor's degree, and 4+ years of progressive tax experience, including at least 1 year of leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and Licensed CPA.
• 4+ years of progressive tax experience.
• 1+ years leading and training Staff and Senior Accountants in the public accounting space.
• This position may sit fully remote but qualified candidates will have the flexibility to travel to the office and client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directs large-scale tax consulting engagements for our Private Client tax group. Oversees ad hoc tax planning, research, and consulting projects and engagements.
• Set appointments with clients and assembles information to prepare or arrange for the preparation of federal, state and local returns
• Maintains productive working relationships with client personnel and manage expectations of service (reports, schedules, etc.)
• Determines fees to be charged for an engagement with approval from client partner
• Provides mentorship opportunities to Staff and Senior Accountants and provides opportunities for learning during client engagements
• Builds relationships with key client stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and identify expansion opportunities to other LBMC service lines
• Adheres to LBMC processes and confidentiality; follows AICPA/state regulatory codes as appropriate.
