Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Senior Tax Manager (CPA) in a hybrid role near Atlanta, GA. The candidate will lead a diverse tax client portfolio, provide strategic planning, and oversee compliance while mentoring teammates.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, 5+ years in public accounting tax, strong federal/state tax knowledge, and proven leadership. Growth opportunities toward partnership with a client-focused, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Minimum of five years of public accounting tax experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Experience reviewing complex federal and state tax returns and providing planning.
• Leadership experience with ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client service skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with desire to grow into leadership or partner-level role.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of individual, corporate, partnership, and business tax clients.
• Review and prepare complex federal and state tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
• Deliver proactive tax planning strategies to minimize tax exposure and meet objectives.
• Serve as trusted advisor by building strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior accounting professionals; foster collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and standards.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and contribute to BD.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and improvements.
