Job summary

Aprio, a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager - Corporate Tax to join its growing Tax team in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

You will lead federal, state, and local tax engagements, review complex returns and ASC 740 provisions, provide proactive planning, supervise staff, and collaborate with partners on strategy and growth initiatives while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field.
• CPA license required; JD/LLM in Taxation, or Enrolled Agent may be considered depending on scope.
• Typically 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or professional services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage federal, state, and local tax compliance engagements for corporate clients.
• Review complex tax returns, workpapers, estimates, extensions, and filings for accuracy.
• Lead and review ASC 740 provisions, including deferred tax analysis and effective tax rate reconciliation.
• Research and interpret tax laws; prepare memoranda for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to manage obligations and opportunities.
• Serve as primary client contact for engagements; manage budgets, timelines, and staffing.
• Supervise and develop tax associates and managers; provide coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with partners on client strategy and practice growth initiatives.
• Support tax notices, examinations, and controversy matters with authorities.
