Job summary

Progressive, a well-established CPA firm in Woburn, seeks a Senior Tax Manager to oversee and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts. You will lead 1–2 Tax Staff and partner with Managing Partners to guide client service and growth.

The ideal candidate has an MST (CPA a plus) and 5+ years of tax experience, with strong mentorship and a track record in federal/state returns. The role starts in-office several days a week for ~3 months, with the possibility of more remote work

Qualifications

• 5–20 years of tax experience in individuals, trusts and corporations.
• MST preferred; CPA preferred.
• Experience reviewing federal and state tax returns.
• Strong mentorship experience or willingness to develop mentoring skills.

Job description

Progressive, employee-centric CPA firm with a fantastic team of partners has a newly created opening for a Senior Tax Manager. This role is open due to the growth of the firm.

Working closely with the Managing Partners, the Tax Manager will oversee and review tax returns for individuals, business & trusts. The Tax Manager will have 1-2 Tax Staff members reporting to them and supporting their client base.

Ideal candidates have an MST, CPA (a plus) and 5+ years of tax prep / review experience, ideally with individuals, trusts and corporations.

This firm is well-established and growing. The team is open to an individual who wants to grow to be Partner one day OR someone who is just looking for a fantastic firm to stay long-term.

The team is looking for someone who is willing to work in-office in Woburn several days a week for the first ~3 months to learn the team's processes and build relationships. Once established, this role can work more remotely, and commute into the office less frequently.

Requirements:

• BS, Accounting
