Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager with a growing CPA firm in the East Valley. The role reports to Tax Partners and Senior Managers, supervising a small team and reviewing/signing returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals, and Tax-Exempt Organizations.

Base salary ranges from $140,000 to $175,000. This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax Manager aiming to advance to Partner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; Master's in Tax a plus.
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting; at least 3 years in supervision.
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills; developing others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a small tax team.
• Review and sign federal and multi-state tax returns for diverse entity types.
• Collaborate with Tax Partners & Senior Managers on strategy and client service.
• Maintain current knowledge of tax law changes and apply to client issues.

This role will report to, and work closely with Tax Partners & Senior Managers, where you will be responsible for supervising & mentoring a small team as well as reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals, and Tax-Exempt Organizations. This is a great opportunity for a Tax Manager that wants to grow to the Partner level. Base salary for this role is $140,000-$175,000.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing others
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive service
• High level of technical tax knowledge with ability to research and resolve complex issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with tax law and industry changes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to adapt to new technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct client communications
• Experience with CCH Axcess and ProSystems Engagement preferred
