Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for a growing East Valley CPA firm. You will supervise a small team and collaborate with Tax Partners/Senior Managers to review and sign federal and multi-state returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, trusts, individuals, and tax-exempt organizations.

The role offers a clear path to partnership with a base salary of $140,000–$175,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; Master's in Tax a plus.
• CPA designation is required.
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a passion for developing others.
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive service.
• High level of technical tax knowledge with ability to research and resolve complex issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with tax law and industry changes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct client communications.
• Experience with CCH Axcess and ProSystems Engagement preferred.

Responsibilities

Base salary for this role is $140,000-$175,000.
