Job summary

Platform Accounting Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Tax Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit to lead client relationships and the local team. This individual will own client engagement quality, mentor staff, and drive the firm’s growth initiatives with strategy and operational leadership.

You will oversee tax return engagements across individuals, corporations, partnerships and estates, while collaborating with the executive team to expand services and improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership and estate tax returns.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA or EA certification required.
• Direct experience managing staff and client relationships.
• Excellent communication and attention management skills.
• Proprietor mentality and work ethic; entrepreneurial mindset with strategy interest.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage local team with the Director.
• Become primary point of contact for clients from retiring partners.
• Serve as relationship manager for new clients.
• Develop and execute the firm's growth initiatives, products, and services.
• Review and manage tax return engagements (individual, corporate, partnerships, estates).
• Lead consulting and advisory efforts in the region.
• Lead and manage staff in research, training, and development.

Due to continuing growth, our team is seeking a Senior Tax Manager who has an entrepreneurial spirit and knows how to get things done. We envision this person to be a future leader for the firm taking ownership of both client relationships and team management. This individual will play a critical role in driving growth, mentoring employees, and upholding the firm’s standards of excellence. In addition to the traditional roll-up your sleeves tax review and client advisory, the role requires a strong sense of entrepreneurship, strategy, and management. We rely heavily on our local leadership team in each office to develop and execute the firm's vision.

What you will do:

• Work with and support the firm's Director in leading and managing the local team
• Become a primary point of contact for clients from retiring partners
• Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for new clients
• Work with the firm's executive team and Director to develop and execute the firm's growth initiatives, product, and services offering and operational strategies
• Review and manage individual, business (c-corps, s-corps, and partnerships) and trust tax return engagements
• Lead firm's consulting and advisory efforts in the region
• Lead and manage staff in areas of research, training, and development
