Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Tax Director in Boca Raton to lead and grow the firm’s tax practice within Elevate’s national platform. The role focuses on advisory, planning, and compliance for construction and real estate clients, with opportunities to shape strategy, client service, and team development.

The ideal candidate has a strong generalist tax background, 10+ years in public accounting tax, and CPA licensure, with experience in international taxation preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license is required.
• 10+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
• Strong background serving construction contractors and real estate clients.
• Generalist tax expertise across individual, partnership, S corp, C corp, trusts and estates.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and business-development ability.
• Experience with international taxation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact tax advisory, planning, and compliance services for entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Provide sophisticated tax consulting while managing complex compliance engagements.
• Advise on tax planning, entity structuring, transactions, and complex tax matters.
• Oversee federal, state, and local filings for various entities.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns and respond to IRS/state notices.
• Grow a personal book of business and nurture client relationships.
• Collaborate across offices to lead and grow the tax practice.
• Lead practice management, budgeting, pricing, and profitability analysis.
