Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification in progress is acceptable.
• Minimum 7–8 years of public accounting experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Strong analytical, organizational and project-management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess, CCH Workflow, Caseware, and CCH Document is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Detailed reviewer of tax closings, closing of books, and tax prep.
• Field client questions on compliance matters (income, franchise, sales/use, labor, benefits).
• Conduct tax and accounting research for accurate reporting.
• Develop budgets and pricing, select staff, assign workloads, and prepare reports.
• Provide direction and build trust with staff and client management.
• Oversee staff in planning, preparation, review, and wrap-up tasks.
• Contribute to strong client relationships through positive interactions.
• Provide training and supervision to staff and senior accountants.
• Assess staff performance and provide feedback.
